One of the projects and things on my wish list for our Indy house (since we plan on living here the whole 4 years) is to have a swing set in our backyard. Am I the only one that finds it somewhat tedious to have to load children up to go play at the park? I just want to go open my back door, and tell them "go play!" My dear sweet awesome and might add sexy husband listened to the desires of my heart. He along with my mothers pulled money together bought me a swing set for mother's day.
We got a great deal on it. Since all the spring sales are going we got $190 swing set for $150! With the help of our neighbors (have I ever mentioned how truly incredible our neighbors are? We truly love them) we got our new toy set up. Our neighbors saw Ron and I outside on the verge of night and came out and finished it with us. It was rather cold and obviously dark. They stayed with us till 11 pm putting it together!
Hayden was up at 645 the next morning trying to wake grace up to go outside and play. Needless to say our kids are on cloud 9! They truly love having a swing set and want to play all day every day on it. This mama is well pleased with get Mother's Day present. I forgot to mention Ron also bought be a lounge chair to absorb the sunshine in while the kids play on the swing set. I just might need to get me some new books!!
Another project was spurred on while shopping for the swing set was a sand box. Ron and I love checking out the 3rd class discounted wood that the local hardware stores have. We found 4 frame pieces of shelving board for $1.50 a piece!!! Normally they are 10 bucks a piece! So we bought those and decided we were going to make a sand box. Another wish fulfilled!!!
Our sand box isn't quite finished. When it is I might do a tutorial. Seriously at most we have paid 50 bucks for this bad boy, and you could easily pay $150!
We are so excited to have a backyard full of things for the kids to play on and in. Living in Indy truly just gets better and better. We love our home, our ward and our school. It's fabulous!
