Big.

When did my little boy go from this......

To this?

I seriously look at that bottom picture in aw and confusion! Time has moved too quickly. Before I knew it almost 4 years has gone by. My little baby Hayden is a little boy now. A little boy who goes to soccer practice, goes to preschool (well joy school), who gets dressed by himself, goes to friends houses and plays with out his mom, and if I would let him he would make his own food (aka cold cereal or chocolate chips from the pantry). He is grown. He is big.

This post was supposed to be about Hayden's soccer and it will be I just had a bit of a nostalgic moment. My baby is a little boy. So sad and so happy.

Anyways Hayden started soccer. He truly lives it. The first practice was a bit rough. It was freezing. Hayden kept saying " I hate soccer I just want hot chocolate!" He didn't do much. He cried, and I was annoyed. All the other kids were playing and my boy was on the sidelines crying. Ron and I both felt like we wasted our money.

The second time though, Hayden specifically told me "mom I am not going to cry! I am going to play soccer and have fun with Ethan and jack." And he did. Can we talk about how truly adorable he was chasing his ball around the field?! He would dribble the ball everywhere and then his coach would tell them stop stop the ball with their feet. Hayden stopped it with his hands the put his foot on top of the ball. Like he had stopped it with his feet in the first place. By the end though he was stopping without hands! It was so great to see him learn and branch out with friends and skills. I am loving this whole putting kids in activities thing!!
