First completed room- kitchen

I have come to the conclusion that the motivation I need to finish our house lies with in this blog. Instead of doing one big monstrous post about the house once everything is done, I am going to post room by room as I complete it. I am still way far off from completion, but it is a work in progress. It won't be so over whelming this way.

The first room and most important to finish when you move, apart from the kid's room is the kitchen/dining room.

The dining room is gianormas compared to our wee little table and high chair. I kinda like the open airiness of it though.

The only future plans I have for this room is to help that massive wall along. That painting is actually really big, but it looks like a pin prick when it is up on that wall. I have no clue what to do with it, but I will figure it out eventually one day.

Here is the good old' kitchen.  Again nothing fancy and rather bare honestly, but bare to me feels clean. I don't know why, but it does.

I love all the counter space that this house has. I love to cook, and so lots of counter space was a must!

The far two doors lead to the pantry and laundry room. You know, in case you were wondering "I wonder where those two doors lead.

I know you are wondering "Maggie why on earth did you take a picture of your spice cupboard, pantry, and cupboards with canisters?" Here is my reply to said question.

You know how you have your favorite little spots that just turn out better than you had hoped in your house? These are mine for our kitchen.

I am basically OCD when it comes to organizing. My mom says that even when I was a tiny kid I color coordinated my underwear drawer. Bahaha what a weirdo! Anyways, my point is that I love the organization of these places. These were one of those "34 days to a more organized house" Pinterest projects.

The canister counter turned out awesome because that is just one big giant baking area.  Every dish and tool I need to bake lies with in the cupboards and drawers. Awesome.

There you have it the Garner Indiana kitchen. It is big and we like it!

I'm SO like you! My pantry and cupboards are totally organized and I keep going back and tweaking them to make sure they're just the way I like them. It gives me a weird pleasure to have such order!
