Fun Weekend.

So like I said in my previous post well I guess I led on to it. Ron has been one super busy man this semester. He has been doing projects and experiments up the wazoo, and with that comes not very much time spent with my husband. In fact there have been countless nights that I have gone to bed a lone, or I have had to bring dinner to the school so he could he why he worked on his projects. I'm not complaining. I am so grateful that I have a smart and dedicated husband. He is so good about making and getting his homework and projects done. We actually have a joke cause he is at school or doing homework so much. I'll ask him if he remembers what it was like to be married. Or I will say something to him like "I used to have this awesome husband who liked to hang out with me, but I'm single now."

Well this weekend I had bought tickets to see the school play "Children of Eden" mostly because its for school. I basically told Ron he had no choice and that he was going with me, and it was going to be our date night for Friday. Well we went to the play and all I can say is IT WAS HORRIBLE! Not the acting or the talent. I felt really bad because the talent was really good, apart from the bizarre african dancing that made the guys in the play look gay, other than that it was the actual play. Whoever wrote it really had no Idea how the first 9.5 chapters of Genesis went. If you ever get the chance to see it. Don't! They portrayed God as some unforgiving angry father who had no desire to see Adam or Eve again after they partook of the fruit. Cain killed Abel but it wasn't because of the sacrifices it was over a family fued where he actually meant to kill Adam. Two comments were made about the character they made god by our friends. One they made him out to be the "creation wizard" and two basically they made god's character after Gandalf the grey. Yes he had a staff with a large glass ball at the end that "he created the world with" It was bizarre!!! Anyways we ended up leaving the play at intermission because it was so bad, and we met up with a girl I go to humanities with Kim and Her husband Mike . We've become great friends through our humanities class and actually made the bearable for me. We decided we neeeded to hang out outside of class and school. We thought that the play was perfect. They left the play early as well actually I think half the audience did. I'm not kidding it was a horribly written play. We went to Mill Hollow and got ice cream and talked and made fun of the play. It brought a lot of great laughs. I told ron on the way home that it was probably one of the funnest dates we'd been on. I don't know why but a crappy play made for a great date, and tons of laughs. I think it helped to that I have been Ron deprived. I also forgot to mention that Ron and I also had a pillow fight. Yes I know we act like we're three but it was a lot of fun.

Saturday ron had to go to the school to do experiments again, but he left early in the morning before I was awake so that he could be home and spend the rest of the day with me. He came home by ten. I woke up to him playing with my face and kissing my cheeks. Thats the best way to wake up. So peaceful and happy. He felt bad that he woke me because he knows that I don't sleep well at night so he tried to put me back to sleep which he came very close to doing, but it was 10 am and I felt guilty so I got up. We spent the morning doing yard work. It was really cold at first, but warmed right up when the sun came out it was like 45-50 degrees!!! It was amazing! We started with the front yard because there was garbage everywhere from our neighbors... yes they struggle a bit!!! (it is amazing what was under all that snow from our neighbors. I don't think they know how to clean up after themselves) After we cleaned up the front yard, we went to the back yard cleaned off our back porch, pulled a few weeds, and pruned our apple tree. I always loved doing yard work as a kid if my family was outside. This was the first time Ron and I actually did yard work together, and we both loved it. There is just something about it. After we did what we could in the yard Ron and I cleaned the house because it was in dire need. We were completely exhausted afterwards and fell asleep on our bed for about 2.5 hours!!! We had planned on barbecuing some steaks for dinner, but because we slept for so long we ended up eating chef boyardi ravioli for dinner (healthy I know) while we watched Finding Neverland afterwards we went to bed and spent a good hour talking while he cuddled me.

Today was yet again another marvelous day spent with my wonderful hubby. We slept in and went to church. We came home, and Ron was dying of hunger so we barbecued steaks. It was delicious!!! After we cleaned up dinner and the kitchen was sparkling we both weren't feeling to well not because of dinner, but because Ron waited to long to eat (he's hypo glycemic so he gets sick really easy if he doesn't eat, and my kidney was hurting again so he took me to bed were we fell asleep again for another 2 hours or more!!! When we woke up I decided to cook the donuts that I had started to make early in the afternoon. They turned out good! I was really glad that they did cause I was worried, but when I saw ron eating his 5th or maybe 6th donut I knew that I had done well.

That was my awesome weekend. It was awesome cause it was so low key, but the whole thing was spent with my husband, and I could never complain about spending time with the person I love to be around most!!!

Getting my tree pruning skills on

I realized we never took a before shot of the apple tree, but it was horrible!!! It needed a lot of work. Not sure if we did it right, but I guess we'll find out when it starts blossoming

The donut Factory

The final Product... notice my large belly got in the shot... ridiculous

Ron told me I needed this shot because while I was cooking he told me to take off my slippers so I could be Barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. What a butthead but I laughed anyway. I also had to bend over a bit to actually get my feet in the shot. I haven't been able to see my feet for a long time.

***By the way I realized how junkie and crappy our yard looked after looking at these pictures. Take into consideration that there is still snow on the ground in some places and the grass hasn't greened up yet at all. Its all in due time. We just wanted to get a head of the game

Our grass is starting to get green. Made me so excited. I need to pick up the garbage in our yard, that Maverick left us. It kind of makes me sad to think that he was the handy man in making our yard look like it does.
