Ron {&} Maggie: Island Park

Don't ever wear a snow suit when prego; it just makes you look even more like a cow!!!

This is about a week late, but I've had a busy week so I'm doing it now. Last week we went to Island Park to Ron's Grandparents Cabin for the weekend. When I say we I mean Ron and I, Grandma and Grandpa and our best friends Colum and Jackie Wride. The plan was to go snow mobiling, but because spring has decided to come a bit early here (not that I'm complaining by any means) there wasn't enough snow to pull the machines out. We were okay with that.

Friday we spent the evening outside playing in the snow. It was a lot of fun. The snow was hard on top and soft down in the middle so if you stepped in a certain spot you would fall in about thigh deep.At one point Ron and Colum had a race across. Jackie and I had a few good hard laughs as we watched our husbands face plant in the snow. I also fell a ton!!!! At one point I started crawling through the snow because every step I took I fell in. Ron finally pulled me out when he found a good hard spot I could walk on. It brought a lot of laughs because of it though.

The rest of the weekend we played games and stayed inside, and of course grandma stuffed us full of food!!! It was so much fun to just relax and be together. I told ron that it had been the most time I'd spent with him all semester. Which is sad but true.

We had a great weekend and can't wait to do another one soon!!!

Ron took this and I had no Idea. I asked him why he took this when I saw it and he said to show what we did! This is very true We all took naps, and it was wonderful!
