Long Time No post

It's been too long since my last updates, and I am so terribly behind that it is a bit daunting, but it is one of my first quarter resolutions to get my blog updated. Part of the reason why I haven't blogged is cause the App I used on my phone stopped working. Its a darn shame too. It made updating so easy. Now here are 6 ish months since my last post... apart from the Birthday post for Grace.

So what have we been doing the last 6 months? Our lives have truly been insane.  There is no other way to describe it. So as usual I will go through each person in the Garner Clan and give an update about each one.

Ron: He is basically doing the very same thing since before we got married. SCHOOL. Thankfully there is a light at the end of the tunnel for him. He has about 1 year left and you can probably take a few months away from that actually. He is busy doing research on Cardio bla bla bla add a big word here and there and the word exosomes.  He is officially a doctorate candidate which basically means he can graduate if he ever completes his researching, writing and publications.  He is doing well though, but it does cause him some severe anxiety if I am being completely honest. When he isn't doing school he doing something for Elder's quorum as he is still in the presidency.  He has also taken on the task of watching the girls one day a week so I can get some school work done. He stays so busy and I have no clue how he does it all. He amazes me.

I am FINALLY in my final semester of school. If I am being completely honest last semester nearly killed ron and I. It was so difficult on us, and a main reason why the blog didn't get updated. It was kind of the last thing on my mind.  Thankfully that semester is over and done with and we are on a new semester and my last one at that! This one technically isn't any easier, but I at least have the hopes of graduating in 6 weeks and I am enjoying what I am doing a whole lot more. School has been such a long hard road for both Ron and I, but we both knew it was something that we had to do. Its nice to finally see it coming to a close, and realize I can get a job and help pay for every day need and support the family. This semester  I am doing my internship at Child and Family Advocacy Center called Bauer Family Resources. I work about 16 hours a week there. I do things like supervised visitations and working with families who are in the system. Most families have their children in the foster care system. The agency I work for works with the families in helping them achieve the goals and objectives they need to complete in order to be reunified with their children. For the most part I enjoy it, and I have learned to lock my heart to the situations I have seen. I love seeing the little kids. Its definitely my favorite part. When i am not schooling it up which is probably 60% of my time I am busy being a mommy as normal. Working for the internship has really made me miss my babies.  I try to spend as much time as I can with them when I am home. Which you can definitely tell when you walk through my house. HA!  I figure it will be spotless come April when I no longer have school to preoccupy me. Ron and I have also recently been given the calling as ward choir directors as well. Poor ron has two very demanding callings on top of grad school. Its a fun calling, but wow is there so much work involved with it. We love it, but I'd be a total liar if I didn't say it hadn't cause a few arguments between ron and I, and didn't cause a great deal of anxiety on us both... hence the arguments.

Hayden:
Hayden got diagnosed with ADHD at the end of September. We always knew that something was off with him, but he was never old enough to get diagnosed. His medication has made a world of a difference. His grades have sky rocketed, and he loves school now. Which he absolutely loathed before.  He is actually gotten so good at school that he was put in a special class called "IDEA" which is a class for kids who are preparing to be in the High ability classes in second grade on.  He absolutely loves it and looks forward to it every week.  His current interests are still building things. He will love that till he is old and gray. He also loves Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Wars, and Lego Ninjago. He loves playing these with his friends at school. He also had his first "girlfriend" last semester. Her name is Lizzie, and I gotta say I was quite impressed. She is totally darling and he was sooo sweet with her. I did have to have a no kissing girls talk, and he said "ew" that's for married people. hahaha Glad I don't have to worry to much. Another major interest he has developed is playing Mario on the Wii. His Dad definitely had something to do with that. They love playing together. He is currently working on beating the whole game by himself. He is on world 2 of 8. I am pretty impressed. He is so great and I just cant imagine my life with out that sweet boy.

Grace:
Grace has become an emotional drama queen at age 4. Most days it is funny, and others the whining never seems to cease.  I think it is a four year old thing though. All of her friends moms report the same thing. We didn't put grace in Preschool this year due to finances, but we did put her in an art class which she loved. We also let her do ABCmouse.com. She totally loves it and has actually learned quite a bit. She is so excited to go to kindergarten this next year, and I am so excited for her. She loves to learn! She loves My little ponies. Obsessed is more like it. She loves watching them and playing them. Its fun to see one of my childhood favorites be one of hers. We spend lots of time snuggling and watching ponies together. It's our mommy and Gracie moment together. Grace also has a passion for art. She is so good at coloring and never goes outside the lines. She has stacks and stacks of coloring books, and most of them are filled. She loves to cut, color, and glue. She get is from her Great Grandma Jean.  We sure love this little one. She is so sweet, snuggly and tender hearted.

Rosie:
I don't even know where to begin with her. All Ron and I know is that we have both said that we wish we could just keep her at 2, and never let her age. She is the spunkiest and sweetest little bug.  She has so much sass it's crazy. Rose is talking up a storm and can speak in full sentences to us. Her little voice is just the cutest ever. Rosie loves to read. Her favorite books are brown bear brown bear and going on a bear hunt. Not sure why she has a bear obsession but she does. She will read them all day. I love hearing her say "Going on Bear Hunt I not SCARED! Rosie loves to play dress up. Inevitably you will always find her in her anna  or elsa dress, a crown on upside down, little high heals and some sort of weapon (she loves to sword fight with her brother).  She has made me truly love the age of two.  She loves to snuggle as well. Every morning she comes in to ron and my bed and climbs in for a good long snuggle. It's become a necessity for me if I want to ever get out of bed. I just love those morning snuggles with that precious babe.  I think it is for her too.

Well I don't know if there is much else to say. Life is so busy, and both Ron and I are counting down for at least one of us to be done with school for good... and for good we mean for a good chunk of time because their is a Master's degree sometime in my future. For now though Ron and I are plucking away day by day and paper by paper.  Life is good, and we have been truly blessed by our Heavenly Father. Lets be honest if it wasn't for him Ron and I both would probably be sent away in Straight jackets.
