Lake Michigan

Thank Heavens for Holidays. It means daddy could be with us for a change and we are able to go on a new adventure. Today it was lake Michigan to Beverly Shores. It was basically like going to the ocean and beach, only it was a gigantic lake instead. It was a perfect weather to go. It was partly cloudy so the sun wasn't blaring down on us and it was THEE perfect temperature at 74 degrees.

To start our day off We had a picnic on the beach. And then spent the rest of the afternoon running and chasing waves, building sand castles, skipping rocks, splashing, and running down the shoreline. It was one of those days that I just wanted to listen to my giggling and  squealing children. They just because were so happy!! I just kept thinking my life is so great and so perfect. The only way to describe seeing how happy my babies were running and splashing in the water is magical.

The best part of it is that it was only day one of our 3 day weekend!!

Skipping and throwing rocks in the water

Rosie loved the beach just as much as her older siblings.
Sandy baby toes sooo cute!

Rosie LOVED the sand. She would pick it up and just watch it fall between her fingers. Sometimes she would try to catch it with the other hand. She literally sat most of the day in the sand just rubbing itnaround in her chubby little hands. She only tried to eat it twice which was very surprising.

Ron and the kids made a pretty awesome sand castle

When you are at the beach you HAVE to bury people. It is a must. The kids loved it.

We are so blessed to be so centrally located to such fun places. Lake Michigan Was so much fun.  The kids didn't want to leave, and frankly neither did I! This is now our new favorite summer outing and the best part is that it is only a beautiful 1.5 hour drive away.
We will make sure to go 2-4 more times before school starts in the fall!
