Year Wrap up

I had been meaning to do this at the beginning of January, but to be honest January was sort of a hellish month and this was the last thing I thought about doing. January is gone now, and so here I am giving our year wrap..

January 2013: I started back up in school. I am doing my degree online through BYUI in Marriage and family RelationS. Ron started his final semester in his Master's program at USU and finished up applying for PHD programs across the country. Grace turned 6 months old. Hayden continues to enjoy nursery, trains, cars, and sledding in the snow with his daddy. Ron and I also celebrated 4 wonderful years of being marriaged.

February: Ron and I kept trudging along with school. Hayden and I went to lots of play dates together and did lots of crafts. We celebrated valentine's day with a party. We start playing the dreaded waiting game to for Ph D programs. It is an awful game to play. Grace turns 7 months old and is saying some of her first words as well as trying to crawl.

March: I enjoyed my first ever weekend home alone while Ron and the kiddos went to Boise to visit family. Ron gets offered a possible job to BYUI. This puts a little wrench in our moving plans but we are grateful for this blessing. We are playing a 2nd waiting game now. We also find out that Ron got accepted to all of the schools he applied to except for 1. We are stilling playing the waiting game though. We had to see who was going to not only accept him but fund him as well. We also celebrated Easter with our Friend's the wride's. It was lots of fun to see them and hang out for a couple of days.

April: We find out that our new soon to be home will be in West Lafayette Indiana. Ron got accepted at Purdue University, funded and offered a Graduate assistant position there. I finished my first semester back at school. I got all A's with the exception of 1 B. We won't go into that though because she was completely unfair about it and I should have reported her. Grace and I spent a week packing up our Logan house while Ron and Hayden were off to Idaho falls to live with my sister Stephanie, brother in law Chris, and nephew Luke. Ron started teaching, and I also started my second semester back at school

May: Got settled into my sister's house. Hayden is head over heels in love with living on the farm. He feeds cows and changes water with uncle Chris every day. Grace loves her new built in play mate Lukey Pookie. She turns 10 months and starts standing up and walking with furniture. We celebrated Ron's 26th birthday in Blackfoot with his grandparents. Hayden turns 3! He spent the whole day with uncle Chris fixing fences and chasing cows. He was in pure heaven. I was a little sad that he wasn't with me, but I know he had way more fun with Chris than he would had with me. We threw a little "cars" themed birthday party and invited some of our Idaho friends to celebrate with us. We took a trip to Yellowstone over memorial day weekend also.

June: Grace starts walking. We spent the last week of June sun bathing and swimming in St.George. We continue to enjoy four wheeling, cleaning up the farm, barbecues with friends and so much more. Ron is loving teaching at BYUI. Steph and I also played mommy to a baby cow. Sadly little izzy ended up dying of pneumonia.

July: Spent the first week in St. George with family. Spent 4th of July swimming, roasting hot dogs and lighting off fireworks. We went to Island Park with Ron's Grandparents, shot off more fireworks with Chris and Steph. We packed up our little house upstairs up, and went to Grandma's and Grandpa's for the last part of the month. I finished the semester up. Ron finished teaching at BYUI. Grace turned 1! We had a little family party with chocolate cupcakes and a day at the lake. My mom came up as well to see Ron and I off to Indiana. We loaded up our stuff in a big budget truck and we were off on our next new biggest adventure yet!

August: We made it to our House in Indiana. We meet loads of new people. and love it so far!! I got a job at Holiday Inn, and quit working for my sister at Easy Way Taxi. Ron is busy in lots of start up school meetings. Hayden meets lots of new kids and makes lots of new friends. He loves living here. Begin to experience the awfulness of moving and switching allergy zones, but hopefully we are all on the mend now.

September: Ron starts school. I have my 25th birthday. Hayden and I start Joy school with a couple of  friends from our ward. We both love it. We get a cat! Koshka becomes a member of our family. She is instantly loved by all except Ron. At the end of the month I ended up quitting Holiday inn because my manager was working me way more than she said she would. I learn how fun it is to do missionary work with the sisters.

October: The kids and I went to zumba every morning. Ron is very busy with school. I am busy with kids and relief society activities. We had a fun weekend trip in Indy. We visited the zoo and the children's museum while Ron attended and presented at a big conference. We had a fun Halloween trick or treating in our neighborhood and at our ward trunk or treat. We picked pumpkins and painted them as well. We have the missionaries over at least once a week for dinner. It is becoming one of our favorite traditions.

November: We experience our first ever Midwest tornado warning and tornado. Something we never want to experience again. Ron is loving Purdue!  We enjoyed a week long break for Thanksgiving. Ron's sister and her family came for a visit. We went to Chuck E Cheese, and the children's museum in Indy.

Decemeber: We decorated our house for Christmas. My Grandma takes a turn for the worst in her health. Grace and I make an emergency trip to St. George for 10 days. We loved being with our entire family. Meanwhile, Ron and Hayden have a fun boys weekend back at home. We have a great Christmas at home. We also battled hand foot and mouth disease. That was not fun at all!

This year was a complete whirl wind. Especially the middle of the year.  Looking back I wonder sometimes how we even survived. We have been truly blessed this year. We are all happy and healthy. We thank everyone for their prayers and support and we miss all our friends out west. We will be home in just 3.5 months!!!
