Purdue Football Game

This last Friday night as I was picking Ron up from school/work, Ron mentioned that he had been given a ticket to Saturday's football game. He thought that maybe if we could find a sitter for the kids that we could go out on an actual real date, and not a wait till kids go to be and we can play a game (I love those too) !!! I will admit,  I am not a big fan of  football.  It is a very slow game to me. But Purdue was playing one of the top teams in the nation; add that to the fact that we only had to buy 1 ticket instead of two, and it was a chance to be with my sweet hubby without kids for a change. I jumped on the idea!

Ron and I were so excited to be out alone. We both felt we had been lighting the candle at both ends, and were really in need of some kid free R&R. Ron's friend and coworker Jessica was the one kind enough to give us her ticket as well as offered to babysit our munchkins while we were gone!! I know she had so many other things to do, but we are so grateful for her kindness.

That football game was just what we/I needed. We played Ohio State, and got cremated!!!! 56-0!!!! Ron and I had a good laugh at how pathetic our team was against Ohio. It was pitiful! We ended up leaving the game during third quarter because we were hungry, cold and lets face it when the score is 50-0 there is no coming back from that!! We decided to hit up applebees's on our way home. It is our staple. We love their buffalo wings!! We were seated in the bar so we could finish watching the game all while filling our bellies and keeping warm. It was such a simple and low key date. We had a great time. It was a time that for me to fall in love with my hubby all over again. I got to see the boy I fell in love with, and not worried provider, father, husband and student (I truly love that guy too). We were able to just focus on each other and have fun.  Thanks babe for the fun date! I love you!
