Halloween 2013

This year Halloween was almost a total bust!! We had a 100% chance of rain all day, from morning until midnight. If you have ever been in the Midwest during a rain storm you will know it's like walking out into a shower. Usually it is awesome and I love it, but not when we have plans to be outside playing all day and all evening.

To make up for the boring afternoon indoors, I went and bought monster's university for Hayden. We snuggled up and watched it together. Afterwards, Hayden's little friend tommy came over to play before the festivities began.

Thankfully the rain let up enough after the ward trunk or treat that a simple umbrella did the trick for door to door trick or treating.

This was the first time we have taken the kids trick or treating. In years past we just went to our ward trunk or treat. It was so fun to watch both of them understand and get the concept of trick or treating. UWe had a lot of fun.

We ended the night at our friend's house; where we drank hot cocoa, talked, and watched kids while they played.

We had a great time.

This year we decided to show off our boilermaker pride. Hayden was a Purdue football player, Grace was his cheerleader, and Ron and I went as the crazy parents/ fans who go to cheer their kids on! We had a lot of fun with these costumes. Hayden and Grace were an absolute hit with the locals. They loved it!
