He has had a lot of struggles lately. Remember when I said Logan has been very Challenging? Well he is definately been one of the main issues. Not in a bad way by any means. I know that he doesn't like it any more than we do. Hayden has had ear infections every month we have lived here. This has been quite the expensive habit of his and the main reason why we are so stinking poor 300 dollars a month for the last 5 months adds up to 1500 dollars yikes!!!! In fact as I type, I have whining sick baby in my arms. Anyways the poor little man is going to undergo Ear Tube surgery this month. Hopefully this solves our issues. I say surgery because they will be putting little man under, and that just freaks me out, and makes it more serious in my book. We officially decided to do it for a few reasons.
1. Its cold and flu season and the doctor said it will only get worse.
2. Hayden's development is hindered because of it. The doctor said he has been hearing like he is underwater. I wondered why some of my friends kids his age had better speach than he does, and now I know why. POOR THING!
3. Lets face it 1500 bucks for the last five months is ridiculous. I would rather pay to have the issue resolved rather than temporarely fixing it. This procedure can cost upwards of 2000 bucks. Hopefully Medicaid pulls through if not well... We pay our Tithing so Heavenly Father will help us.
I am however so thankful that my little man hasn't had permanent damage. I added up this year's ear infection totals and we're at around 9. Seriously? 9 infections and we are only in month 11. The doctor said he has no scarring in his ears what so ever, and he hasn't suffered any hearing loss. Such a blessing.
Anyways enough of the negative with Hayden lets focus on the positive.
Here are some things about Hayden at 16-17 months. I didn't do an update last month sorry

A few weeks back Ron left town for Rheno for the ACSM conference. Hayden and I stayed home and did random bits around the house. One of the things we did was do a fall clean up of our front porch.I swept and gathered up our dead frozen garden while hayden played in the dirt. HE LOVED IT! Its just like that saying "BOYS ARE NOISE WITH DIRT ON THEIR NOSE" that is Hayden to a T.
We also went and played with the doggies next door. He loved it until they barked and freaked him out.
Here are just some other random tidbits of kiddo.... He loves to sweep and climb up things to turn out the lights. He wears my purse around his neck for some odd reason, and he LOVES the park!

Like I said, I can't believe how big he is getting! That is SO fun! I hope the surgery goes well! He (and you guys) are in our prayers! I bet once he gets it done he is going to start talking a lot more and quickly! I wonder if some noises may scare him after because it's louder than he thinks!
So stinkin cute! I cannot believe he is that old and big! It seriously flies... such a handsome little guy.
