A couple of weekends ago my sister Stephanie was kind enough to allow me to accompany her to St. George. It was going to be an all girl's weekend apart from dave and my dad. Husbands didn't get to come. Though we missed our husbands, steph and I had a ball. It had been a while since we had actually got time enough to chat with each other and have some good quality girl time. It was a ton of fun.
(waiting patiently in the car for the tow truck)
Our trip was supposed to (key word hear is SUPPOSED) on Thursday the 18th, it did for the most part. Steph and I got clear to the malad pass when the car broke down. We though at first it was the coolant. It wasn't getting to the engine so the engine overheated. We sat there for a few hours waiting for a tow truck to come to our rescue. To make a long 2 hours short steph and I despite the stress of trying to get a hold of road side assistance, and figure what our plans were going to be for the remainder of the trip steph and I had a ball. And made some pretty interesting memories together (wink wink Stephie).
Lucky for me I have awesome grandparents who will do anything for their grandkids even when they really only are grandkids through marriage. I called my grandpa and grandma up in blackfoot, and they were nice enough to lodge us for the night, feed us, and the nicest of all get our car taken care of at my grandpa's dealership. The car was basically toast so they did an even nicer thing and brought us a car off the lot for us to drive home to St. George. Can I ask for more amazing grandparents? I have been blessed with awesome family that is for sure
Friday we got home to St. George, and we were welcomed with my dad's dutchoven chicken... YUMMO!!!! He was kind enough to cook dutchoven for the blue and gold banquet for the scouts. Steph and I just came down at the right time and benefited from it.
(I don't know one girl who wouldn't dream of having my mom's craft room... Look at all that stuff.. You can't even see her, but she is there!!! Thats not even half of it either. Thats just the desk)Saturday was spent just being with family. We lounged a bit Saturday morning, and then we went to lunch with my brother dave, Sister dave's wife Andrea, Steph, My mom, and Grandma. We enjoyed our lunch at the riverwalk grill. Its probably one of my favorite places to eat in St. George. it has excellent views, food, and its decent priced (even though my mom was the one that payed... THANKS MOMMY!!!). After lunch we went shopping. Not clothing shopping. Dave wanted to enjoy his weekend too. We went to Lowe's, Home Depot, Petco, and Best Buy. Random I know but we all basically had places we needed to go so we decided to all go together. It was lots of fun to lounge on the patio furniture, Listen to the birds, and talk while Dave and Andrea looked for a future patio set. We met up with my dad later that day for Dinner at Chuck a Rama.

Later on that night I got together with my momma Rhonda (aka mother in law). I wanted to go get the camera she "gave" (meaning she gave us the money to buy one we just hadn't yet) us for christmas. So I wanted her opinion on what camera I should get with the money that she gave us. I was sure glad that She was with me. I almost spent more money than I needed too! She helped me a lot and now Ron and I have this awesome 12 megapixel High definiton camera to our name. Thank you Parents!!!!! Afterwards she took me to applebee's where she enjoyed lava cake and Ice Cream, and I enjoyed my mouth watering blondie. It was fun to visit with her and be with her. I consider myself really lucky when it comes to my family both blood related and through marriage.

Sunday we went to church, and left a bit early because my poor mother woke up with a nasty cold. We lounged around all day. My mom made and AWESOME sunday dinner. We watched movies and played games. It was such a relaxing day. I also got to spend time with my friend megan and aaron that night. It'd been a while since I'd seen or talked to both of them. So it was fun to catch up.

Monday we again all went to lunch at Frosttop, and then steph and I had to head back north to cold country. We spent the night in provo with my sisters Rachel and Mekelle. That night we went to dinner at chili's and just had a good time. After dinner I went to my friend miki's house were we hung out till 1 in the morning just talking and catching up. I miss those late night chats we used to always have so it was fun to see how her life is going in person and not through technology.
(Miss Hannah just loved the corn, and decided she could eat it without her hands... This is my very favorite picture!)
(Brynn just enjoying a bit of her dinner, and Mekelle's Pasta, and of course the Lava Cake)
(The traveling Duo)Tuesday I was again reunited with my hubby whom I missed deeply. It was such a fun trip, but there is nothing better to come home after a fun trip. Thanks to my sister for letting me tag a long and for paying for all of it!!!! Thanks to my parents and the rest of my family for such a great trip. It was well needed. 7 More weeks till I get to go again!!! WAHOO!!!
