This is a little late in posting 2 days in face, but I decided since I haven't stopped thinking about her since her special day that I would blog about her. This lady is absolutely the most AMAZING PERSON I have ever met! She is truly incredible and it was her 85th birthday on tuesday. Isn't she pretty? This is my very favorite picture of her. It captures her personality and love to a T!Here are some of my favorite things/ memories about my dear grandma.
1. She used to give me graham crackers and milk every time I went to visit her... To this day it is still one of my favorite snacks
2. She taught me how to play checkers when i was just about 4 or 5 years old
3. She makes the best corn husks dolls ever! She used to make them with me when she baby sat me
4. She used to do cooking shows with me and made zucchini bread with chocolate chips!
5. every year she makes me my favorite cake for my birthday cause she knows i love it so much... LAZY DAISY CAKE! YUMMY!
6.She is always humming or singing when she is busy doing something... NO MATTER WHAT ALWAYS HUMMING!
7.She used to pick strawberries with me and let me eat them. So good! I loved her garden
8. She let me and my cousins lay underneath the pea plants and pick the pods off and eat them
9. Her spaghetti I don't know what it is but her spaghetti is one of my favorites ever!
10. she used to play hide and go seek with me
11. She bought me little animals to play with when I was sick at primary childrens hospital... Yeah I remember that far back... She used to take me for walks in my wheel chair.
12. She has come to EVERY preformance of mine that she could. She always tells me I did the best job ever!
13. She had me sing in her ward once "I want to brag to all my lady friends how amazing my granddaughters voice is" her exact words... how cute is that
14. She introduced me to anne of green gables
15. She gives me crab apple jelly and pomegranate jelly
16.She knows who you are on the phone when you call!
17. On my birthday she always called and sang happy birthday, came over with a card, or took me out to lunch and let me pick out a present.
18.She gave me an awesome beautiful mother.
19. I loved memorial day as a kid cause we used to go around to all the graves and clean them. She would tell us stories about the people there
20. She is the best cook in the entire world!
21. She can take a joke and dish it out even though she immediately apologizes afterwards..
22. She is constantly trying to help someone
23. She has the best stories of her childhood
24. She is the nicest sweetest most genorous person I know
25. She is stubborn! I love it! I can see where my mom gets it I get it and everyone else in my family. Its really funny when you get us together

I love that you have those great memories. You were lucky to spend all that time with her while mom worked.
I know this is totally unrelated to your grandma- but I have to reply to the comment you left me: WHAT A GOOD PLAN!!! You are brilliant beyond brilliant! If we split the air fare, it is only $400 each... but how are we going to decide who has to ride in the suitcase?!? That is a dilemma. I guess we could rock-paper-scissors for the actual seat in the plane. Also, the tickets to the concert are only like $100.00, so we could plan the trip for what, like, $600 each? We have to include a hotel and maybe one meal, right?
