Headboard

We have officially finished up the two projects we have been working on. Last night Our headboard was finally dry and ready to be attached to our bed. So after the kids went to bed we got it in our room and attached it. I have to say I am in LOVE with it.   It turned out just as we envisioned and I love the way it looks with our bedding.

BEFORE: this is when it was obviously all finished we just needed to stain it.

AFTER

It ended up matching our dresser perfectly!

Now he only problem is that it doesn't match our night stands so I will be working on adding a few more coats to our nightstand so it will match.

I have had a couple requests for a tutorial. I shall try and get around to it.  I did take picture along the way.

The headboard ended up costing us about 115 dollars. We spent a little more on wood this time because we bought wood the attaches together.  The best part about it is we ended up with enough wood to make a twin headboard. So when Rosie is ready to sleep in a big bed she will be switched to the bunk beds with grace and Hayden will get his own room.  So basically we got 2 headboards for $115! I'll take it!

I don't think I will ever get sick of refurbishing and building furniture.
