Ohio

Chris and Stephanie were planning on spending a couple of days with us but plans changed when Chris' mom lost her ride to the reunion. So they just spent Tuesday night at our house and were planning to leave for their family reunion Wednesday morning. They were all ready to go when last minute Steph, Ron and I decided that I should go. We figured I'd be home alone with the kids anyway so I might as well go have one last adventure before school starts.  So we quickly packed myself and the kids and were of to Springfield Ohio. We were planning to stop at a few cemeteries on the way that had someone Chris' family members in them. It took a while to find them because they were old abandoned ones, but It was really cool and fun to see graves from the 1700's once we did find them. We cleaned them up stood up some of he headstones that had fallen down, and then just enjoyed looking at them. There was so much history there and the spirit was very strong. Of course the children loved running around out in the woods  as well.

You can see how over grown this cemetery really was. That is a head stone those vines are climbing up.

This is the grave of a revolutionary war soldier. So cool!
