Full term and so close!! I can't believe I could have this baby any day. I am so glad it has come. This has been a more difficult pregnancy with all the bed rest and contractions, anemia, low thyroid etc, and I truly wondered how I could keep it going, but thank heavens for an amazing ward and husband who took my kids a lot. I couldn't have done it with them.
Recently I feel like I have gotten a second wind with this pregnancy. The pelvic pain I had is finally gone for the most part, but because I am off magnesium(it was to help control my contractions) I have started getting major headaches. The only thing that cures it is caffeine. So occasionally I get a dr. Pepper when I can't take it anymore. Dr. Pepper makes everything better right? Ha! I haven't had to nap or sleep as much in general lately. I think it's because I have realized it is crunch time, and I have a lot to do before this girl makes her debut. So nesting is definitely back.
Normally with my other two I was so anxious to get them here at 37 weeks and wondered if they would ever come, but this time I understand that a newborn and having 3 kids in general will be a challenge. I am perfectly content and uncomfortable with this baby inside. She can come When finals are done, my house is clean, all the baby bottles and such are washed, and Christmas is finished being made and wrapped. All this should be done by next week.... Hopefully. School will be for sure!
I saw my midwife yesterday. She said I am still measuring a week (38weeks) ahead of schedule and I am 1cm dialated and 50% effaced. I have come a long way since last week!! I am so happy because there were a few nights were I was consistently contracting for a good 2 hours. I am glad I have something to show for it. I am taking primrose oil to help make more progress in the coming weeks. I've been told by multiple people that it works great!
We are really hoping she makes her debut before Christmas. It makes it much easier for us and those people watching our kids. We are so excited to meet our little one and can't wait to snuggle her!
