St. George

In December I made an emergency trip home. My grandma's health had been rapidly declining, and she had taken a turn for the worst. I had a fear that the next time I saw she wouldn't be with us, and I just couldn't bear the thought. Ron and I discussed it, and decided that it was better for me to go and spend time with her and be with her while she was here instead of going back for her funeral. This was the best decision I could have made. It was so great to see her, and have that closure that If I don't see her again in this lifetime at least I got to say goodbye and create more memories with her!

I got to take Grace with me as she is still free to fly. Hayden and Ron stayed home and had a boys weekemd. Hayden loved it. 10 days was a long time with out seeing my boy, but he didn't seem to care too much. He now asks to have guy's weekend all the time. It is really cute.

I am happy to say that my Grandma is actually doing a bit better. The doctor pulled her off some medication that was aiding in her heart failure. After a few days of being with her She perked right up. I was so relieved. Her heart is still a big issue, and it is the reason she hasn't been doing so great,  but we take one day at a time.

Here are some pictures from our trip.

On the plane for Grace's first ride ever!

Poor girl was exhausted. We got up at 430 in the morning to get to the Indy Airport.

We had a big family party (well as big as we could with what family we had in town). Grandma was beaming that night. She loved having all her kids there and seeing all the babies running around

This is my mommy's family all together except for grandpa

The trip home was fun for us too because for a full 24 hours my siblings were all under one roof. It was so fun to see the kid's play together. I felt bad that Hayden was the only grandchild that didn't make it to grandma's and grandpa's house that weekend. This picture is of Kyler, Luke, and Grace playing with Grandpa's car. That thing is so cool! My dad has a remote control and he can drive the kid's up and down the street, and when they get old enough they can drive it.

This is one of my favorite photos. This night was so much fun. This my grandma with all of her girls except for Janet (She is in heaven with Grandpa) We were laughing ourselves sick. We told story after story and just teased each other. It was so fun.

I caught my grandma in the middle of laughing. She was so happy that night to be with her girl's having a girl's night.

Grandpa spoiled gracie baby by buying her 2 toy horses! She loves them and still plays with them all the time.

Grace and Kyler watched the "Choo Choo" circle the Christmas tree every night. It was so fun to watch them.

Grace is also getting in to baby dolls. She loves them. It has been so much fun to see the little mommy in her come out.

Grandma and I saying goodbye. This was probably one of the hardest moments in my life. Many tears were shed on both parts. It was hard knowing that it was probably going to be my last time seeing her. We both had a really hard time letting go.

She was tuckered out by the end of the trip.

Beautiful sunset from the airplane. This was in Texas at our layover. I just had to post it.
So glad I got to make it home for a couple of weeks. Ron was a real trooper and I am so grateful that he wanted me to go. Thanks to my folks as well for their love and support too. We sure miss you guys! Love you!
