Pumpkin Picking

Every year it is a tradition at our house to go pumpkin picking. We think its way more fun than just going to the store and picking it out. This year although we didn't do the typical corn maze and pumpkin patch was still fun, and FREE! Our ward play group met up at one of Purdue's farms to pick pumpkins. It was a fun morning and a great way to spend fall break with daddy!

I am a little disappointed that we didn't get more family photos, but sadly Hayden is entering the stage where he wants nothing to do with mommy and daddy and everything to do with his friends. Ron gave him permission to go off and play and it was the last we saw of him for a while.

These two look like twins. It amazes me how much they look alike.

This pumpkin was gigantic!! Those other pumpkins are considered lard pumpkins to give you an idea of just how big that pumpkin really was.

 Painting Pumpkins
Later that Week we did our tradition pumpkin painting. Hayden especially loved it! It was so fun to see how his creativity comes out. Grace on the other hand wasn't a big fan.

Sadly this year I completely forgot to get picutres of the final product! A shame I tell you! I did a candy corn with our names on it. Hayden and Grace had their initials with sloppy yet adorable finger painting on it, and Ron did a cat!
