Master bedroom

My house is taking forever and I realize its because I am an organization freakazoid. I know how I want to organize it and want it just right. Somethings I want to do take some money and that takes time and  money saving. We are so close though!

Obviously from the post title, you can see that this is our master aka Ron's and My retreat. Again very bare.  I still really like it that way, but we are going to fix that a bit by hanging up a clock, and a few pictures.

We love this room. It is spacious, clean and airy, it has a walk in closet and a bathroom. Awesome!! It's nice to have a place to call our own. We don't have to share anything with the kids, and we Love it!

I love how much light comes in through our windows. Natural light is my absolute favorite  thing! It just makes a room feel fresh and clean!

Another angle....

So I have peeves (apart from the fact that my bed isn't completely perfect the way i like) that I will eventually fix here.
1: lack of head board. Our bed had a really ugly old brass headboard. We sent it to DI before Hayden was born with big plans to make a new one. We never got to it, but its a goal of mine to finish before school starts back up. I am already drawing up plans for one. I just need to buy the materials and put Ron to work.

2. We didn't have another bed side table so we bought a cheap bookcase that happened to match our dresser and other bedside table perfectly. The problem now is that the tables are off balance with each other. I am going for a symmetrical but still have some character  feel. I like the difference in tables just not the difference in height. So I will be fixing it somehow. Also see that clock? That's the one we are hanging on our massively blank wall. I have a vision for this room, and It's so close to getting there!

Here is a favorite of the room...

This is my side of the bed. See those cute picture of my kids and hot man? This is how you know its my side. I like to see all three of them before I get in and out of bed.  I love this shelf because some of my favorite book series are on it, my favorite people are on it, my marriage ducks (from Korea) are on it ( I am the red duck and Ron is the green), and of course my basket.

I had a hard time with trying make this a functional bed side table. I needed a place for pens, scriptures, phone charger etc.... Thank heavens for my basket and tote obsession, and my need for perfection. I rearranged the shelf height, where books were, accessories etc...  I kept having issues with bowing shelves . To get this right, it probably took 1.5 hours to do. I know I have problems.

Ron's side is so simple and basic. Plant and pictures of his wife and kiddos. I just assume he likes to look at me and the kids as much as I like to look at him and the kids. ;)

"Its a Tradition!!!" The closed door is our large walk in closet. One word.... Heaven! The room with the open door is our master bath. We love that too. This room has so far been my favorite bedroom we have had since our first townhouse in St. George. It's almost the exact same lay out and size.

Here is our closet.  Its a favorite. Itisn't  anything special. It is Just the place where we get dressed. My Pinterest organization in here is my yes 3 shoe racks (2 for me 1 for Ron) our extra set of drawers because Ron and I share a dresser and 2 drawers just doesn't cut it. All the bins up top. They hold our jeans and shorts. Last thing to do in here is to color coordinate. Ron the dear put my clothes up, which I love him for, but I can't stand my clothes not color coordinated. I just haven't gotten there yet.

My final favorite and also a Pinterest project: my necklace holder.  I don't know what that hanger thing is exactly... A tie or belt holder maybe? I just got the idea from Pinterest and went on a hunt for something similar, and this is what I got. It is perfect. It's so nice to not have to de-tangle my jewelry when I want to wear it.

There you have it ladies and gents. Our bedroom. We love it, and so do our kids. We can't keep them out of it half the time.

Once pictures and the head board are done I will do another master bedroom post until then this will do.
