Finished product

Well I finished our ottoman!!! It took a ton of time, a ton of stain, sand paper, and polyurethane. I am so happy about it though! 

Thanks to my lovely friends the wride's for letting us use their sander. We packed ours on accident. 

The before and after shot. You really can't even tell that it is the same table. The table was covered in cob webs, dirt and Ron literally scraped gum off the bottom!! It was gross, you could definitely tell it had been sitting in an old garage for years.

After we were done sanding I took furniture oil to it. It was so dry it was starting to show signs of cracking in some spots. I ended up using over  half a bottle of oil, and then almost an entire can of stain. This piece of furniture was thirsty!

I am so happy about how it turned out. I love how bright the fabric is. I even bought coordinating fabric for throws, and looking at re-covering our lamp shade as well.  I am doing minor things here and there to finally finish the space up.

I officially get to see it in our new house tomorrow. All The effort, sunburn, and sore arms will be well worth it! When I can see it with everything else.
