Can this little dude be any more cute!!! I love this little stinker! I can't even begin to express it. I love this stage he is in! He is the sweetest little boy, but he definitely has a naughty streak!
I realize I hadn't done a fabulous post on my little man in a while, and recently he has said some things that I have to write down. I want to always remember him at this age. Sadly he is only getting bigger and bigger.
Some of his recent likes:
Macaroni and Cheese is by far his most favorite food!
Chocolate Breakfast Essentials is the runner up. (I do feed him healthy food I swear!)
Favorite Veggie is mashed potatoes or baked yams
Lional is still and will forever more be his favorite toy/ stuffed animal
His favorite TV show is Sesame street. We watch it in the morning while mama cleans the house and does a few things.
His favorite movie is "Cars." He is in love with "MANER" in his words.
His favorite thing to do is play outside.
He loves sleeping in his big boy bed. We are currently working on napping in it, but its hit and miss still.
He loves bath time or shower time. We bought him bathtub crayons and bath finger paints and he goes to town with them!!! That is what is pictured above. Except I was just trying to keep him busy one cold after noon. I stuck him in the tub with his diaper on cause I wasn't actually bathing him.
He loves to play with Trucks and Tractors! He is in love with them!
He loves to dance! He will sometimes beg me to dance with him!
He loves his Grandpa.. I say grandpa cause he begs me and begs me to call him every single day! He loves his grandma's too, but he has always had a special attachment to his grandpas.
He loves Dr. Seuss books
He loves to count! He is stinking good at it too. He can count to 20. He will miss one or two numbers, but I think for not even being 2 that's pretty amazing!
Things he currently hates..
Currently going through a anti Vegetable eating phase. They have to be mashed
Sharing. We are really trying to work on this one.
He hates being inside the house. I don't blame him on this one.
Sleeping in... He is up by 645 or 7 am everyday. The only down fall of the big boy bed. He used to sleep in till 9.
Currently he hates peaches as well. He used to love them.
Funny things he has said recently.
This first one some may think its inappropriate, but I found it completely hilarious. You can definitely tell I live with all boys. Feel free to read ahead if you are grossed out by bodily functions.
One after noon we were all sitting at the table eating lunch.
Ron: Being the well mannered boy he is... farted right at the table while EATING! (my biggest pet peeve)
Hayden: (Looking very concerned) Stopped eating and turned to ron and said "ARE YOU POOPY?"
Ron and I started laughing so hard. I started crying. We ask hayden that in the tub or where ever when toots or if we smell something stinky.
Hayden: Look way confused. He didn't think it was funny. He was dead serious.
Ron: Composes himself and says "Hayden do you think I am poopy?"
Hayden: Nods his head and says "Yes" all concerned like.
by the way I am teaching both boys to say excuse me, but its a work in progress.
It made our afternoon.
Again at the dinner table this time
Ron: Hayden are you so excited for your baby sister to come?
Hayden: (glances up for a sec) says "NOPE!" loud and proud and continues eating his strawberries.
While getting ready for bed...
We were helping Hayden say his personal prayers. We say it and he will repeat a word or two.
Ron: Say Heavenly Father
Hayden: Faddow
Ron: Thank you for this day..
Hayden: AMEN!!!
When Hayden doesn't feel like doing something church related aka praying, church, speakers, scripture study He yells out "AMEN!" this is something we are trying to nip. Its especially embarrassing in Sacrament Meeting when he yells it out while someone is speaking. Trust me its not softly spoken either.
While coming in from grocery shopping.
Hayden: MOMMY!!! (He was already with ron by the front door)
Me: What baby? (I am grabbing a couple of bags at the car still)
Hayden: "ARE YOU COMIN OR WHAT!?"
This one isn't necessarily something he says but what he does. He has the most tender heart.
Whenever he walks into the room Ron and I usually say "Hi baby!" and snuggle and hug him.
Now if we don't say it, he will walk in the room and say "Hi baby!"
He treats lional just the way we treat him. Lional just like his own kid. When he finds him or we bring him to him; He grabs him and snuggles him and says "Hi baby.." Then gives him lots of kisses.
We sure love our little man. He knows exactly how to upset us, and make us laugh our heads off. I can't believe how big he has gotten. He will be 2 years old next month! 2 SERIOUSLY!? Where did that go?!
I am sure grateful to be his mama, and that I am extra spoiled and get to spend all day with him. Somedays I grow tired and I yearn for Adult conversation, but he sure melts my heart. I am so grateful for him. I will take toddler talk any day over a 9-5 job.
I always tell him he will always have a special place in my heart. He is the one that made me a mama. He is basically my heart outside of my chest. He gets hurt. I get hurt. He is unhappy. I am unhappy. He is happy. I am happy. He makes me realize everyday how much love our Heavenly Father has for each of his children. I can't imagine that love times 100 billion. Kind of puts in perspective why He gets upset with our bad choices, and blesses us when we are doing what is right.
I am so grateful to be his mama. I love my little Hayden so much!
