I don't know why but the last few holidays... apart from Christmas I really haven't felt the desire to go all out. Mostly cause I see doing all the decorations as a waste of money. Easter was no different. Ron and I both agree that it needs to be focused around the savior any way, but that doesn't mean that we won't do a little Easter egg hunt for the kiddos. Lets face it. Easter is awesome because the candy is amazing!
Saturday we went on a small Easter Egg hunt at a local store in town, and then afterwards We headed over to Wal-mart and spent Less than 15 bucks on our Easter Celebrations. It was perfect. Hayden loved picking up his eggs, and putting them in his awesome Halloween pumpkin we had on hand (buying a basket just seemed like another thing we would end up storing for a year... pass). He lost interest after picking up 15 eggs or so, and decided his match box car we bought him was by far the best part of Easter. Then we opened the eggs, and needless to say the car got left outside for Ron to go hunt down later on.
The rest of the weekend we really focused on Christ. We talked to Hayden about the Atonement and how we need to repent. Granted Hayden is 1, and about the only thing he got from it was that we need to say sorry. So now he goes around the house saying a "Sorry" all the time. My humble child. Love Him.
I am so grateful for Easter. I love that it is a Holiday focused on Family and Christ. I am so Grateful for the Atonement and the opportunity to Repent. This knowledge is sometimes the only thing that can get me through a hard time. Love Life. Love my Family. Love the Gospel.

I love this post. Hayden saying "sorry" all time now and using a pumpkin for his easter basket. So cute. You guys are the most adorable family!
