♥ Love Fest ♥

I have been saving this entry for a couple of weeks. I decided to combine our Anniversary and Valentine's pictures, and make one giant GUSHY post about Love!! ♥♥♥♥

My reasons for combing both posts is that Ron and I have a tradition. Since our Anniversary is literally 14 days before Valentine's we decided to split them up when we first got married. Ron plans our Anniversary and I plan Valentine's day. I like it because then we Both have a special day where we focus on each other, but more specifically we are able to focus more on One person then both of us.  So for our Anniversary Ron focuses more on me. Valentine's I focus more on him.

3 years ago On January 31, 2009, I married the Love of My life. Its been an amazing 3 years. We have been through countless trials, seen so may blessings come our way, and the best part of it all was receiving these things together!

Ron really out did himself this year. It was simple, but so very sweet. He really put a lot of thought into our Anniversary. I could really tell he wanted to make me happy. Ron arranged for a friend to come babysit Hayden while we went out to dinner. Ron took me to Olive Garden. It was sooo weird and so lovely to have complete Adult one on one time. After Olive Garden we went to Chic-Fil-A for ice cream cones (best place to get a cone ever!) Then we went home.

So as an Anniversary Tradition, Ron buys a Rose for every year we have been Married (I can't wait for the 50th anniversary!!). So this year I got three Roses. When I walked into our bedroom to get ready for bed, I found my three roses, and tied to each Rose was a Letter and a Ring Pop. Each letter was to me as a specific person. So one was to me as his Wife, one was to me as a Mother, and one was written to me as a person or a friend. The symbolism behind the ring pops was that Ron bought me a wedding band!  He was upset cause it hadn't come in yet, and it thwarted his plans a little. He was going to have 2 ring pops, one tied to each Rose. The actual Wedding band was supposed to be tied to the middle Rose. It was such a sweet idea, and something I would never expect to come from my Ronald. He just showed me a picture instead. I had tears well up in my eyes. I blame the Pregnancy Hormones. After that I we enjoyed sparkling cider, and laying in bed and talking.

I like to say that he got me new clothes along with my ring. He allowed me to go out that afternoon ALL by MYSELF, yes baby free and it was pure heaven!!! I wanted to go get a small anniversary gift, and a new outfit for our hot date. My clothes aren't fitting so well do to baby #2.

Needless to say my Husband did very very Well! It was perfect. Just what I wanted and needed.
We forgot to take pictures at Olive Garden. So we took them in our Room instead.

My very practical anniversary gift was buying Ron some new pairs of pants. He was in desperate need of some.

Hayden loved the ring pops.
 Valentine's day ♥

Valentine's is always pretty low key at our house, but we still like to celebrate.I bought Ron a box of Jolly Rancher suckers to take to his friends at school. It was more of a joke, but he did it! hahaha I also took him to lunch to Chic-Fil-A. Can you tell we like that place?

That evening I stopped by Papa Murphy's for the Heart Breaker pizza and Bread-sticks.  I haven't been feeling up to par lately so making anything from scratch sounded like to much work and would make to much of a mess. We quite enjoy a lack of mess in the house after dinner.

We enjoyed Valentines Cupcakes for desert.  Hayden quite enjoyed the treat. And snarfed his half down right away. You know he enjoys something when there is hardly anything on his face and only a trace of frosting on his thumb. He proceeded to like his fingers after the picture. He wanted me to take a picture of his thumb. It was quite funny.

One tradition that I loved growing up was that my mom always gave us a valentine. Maybe this simple act made it so I never had  rough time during Valentines when I got older? Who knows.... That simple gesture just made me realize Valentines is not just about the Romantic type of love. Its about Love! That is it period. Since I am a mommy myself, I decided to uphold this tradition. Hayden was quite grateful. He loved opening his Valentines. Mommy and Daddy got him 2 books that talk about love. One of which was an Elmo Book. The key to my Hayden's heart is through "Melmo." He just loves him. We also got him some new bath toys and Bath crayons. Those Bath Crayons were a complete HIT! He loves them, as do Ron and I. I think they are fun investment not just for kids, but for adults too! He played in the tub till the water was ice cold, and he didn't care one single bit.

After Hayden went to bed. We watched "Breaking Dawn," which was Ron's gift to me. Don't judge its a  tradition, and we are all about tradition in the Garner household. Besides who doesn't want to make fun of Kristen whats her bucket for 2 hours? Ron and I love it. We also busted out the "Adult" (I am not meaning that bad either) Desserts, which consisted of Chocolate covered Strawberries and "Wine" aka sparkling grape cider. I also gave Ron his Valentine's gift. It wasn't much, but its been something he has been wanting. I bought him the "Rise of the Planet of the Apes Movie." He was soo stinking excited. He said the only downer to it was he had to wait and watch it on Friday because he has lots of homework. I am glad such a simple gift brought such happiness and excitement into his life.

I loved nothing more then having a low key night with my 2 valentines. Life couldn't be any better unless I had my 3rd little valentine here, but little one needs to keep baking so I am okay with that.
Speaking of little one stay tuned Next week... we find out what little one is!!!!

I love you Ronald ♥ Thanks for 3 wonderful years of marriage. It has been quite the Ride, but I honestly can't imagine it with anyone else!
