Hayden's Surgery.

I am proud to say that Hayden's surgery went completely routinely and lasted all of about 10 minutes. Seriously. I knew it was going to be fast but I was just getting comfortable in the waiting room when the doctor told me "all was well." I was warned by countless people as to how crabby Hayden would be once the Anesthesia wore off. I expected it. I braced myself for it. HOLY CRAP! The kid was ticked!!! He was literally kicking and screaming! He had two things in his arms: Lional and a sippy cup with apple juice that the nurse so kindly got for me. You would have thought I was beating him by how he was reacting when I took both to change his clothes. Poor little guy. Thankfully is was in very minimal pain he just didn't like how he felt with the anesthesia. The doctor said that because of the pressure built up  by the fluid that was in his ears, getting tubes was nothing but a relief to him.  That made me feel better.
We went home after surgery had some breakfast and within an hour Hayden was sound asleep, and stayed that way for 5 HOURS! Ya you read it right. I was so thankful cause he slept off the crankiness. We were both wiped. His routine was jacked from Thanksgiving break (post on that to come soon). He went to bed around 11:30 the night before and we had him at 6 am. He was tuckered out and so was his mama. I slept for 4 hours, and had a nice hour long break after I woke up.
I am pleased to report his healing is going well. He screams when we put the ear drops in his ears, and he'll pull on them every once in a while, but for the most part he is completely back to normal. I have actually already started to see more speech from him. Its been kinda hard to notice because a couple weeks back they decided to finally give him a rosefrin shot (bless them!). It cleared it really well and he started talking a bunch, but he is really starting to try out new sounds now. It makes both Ron and I really Happy!
All I can say is bless modern medical technology. It was something so easy and minimal, but it will make a world of a difference in our entire family's life!

Aw poor baby! I'm glad he's doing well though. It's good to hear that he slept for 5 freaking hours! Gave you time to catch up :)

Poor little guy...give him hugs for me...even though he probably doesn't remember me. My sister had tubes in her ears at age 13 with her adnoids and tonsils out too. be grateful you did it now and not later in his life. He will love you for it!!! :)
