Goodbye Rexburg. Hello ???

Yes Folks, after about a kazillion prayers(not that its a bad thing), countless pros and cons lists, and talking that our lips about fell off Ron and I, have come to a decision as to where we will be spending the next 2-3 years or as I like to think of it the new stage to our married life.

Lets re-cap for you the the places we could have gone

To make the decision even more difficult

Ron got accepted to EVERY school he applied at.

Yes I know I married a smarty pants. Thats why I married him.... well that and I think he is hot.

This is possibly one of the hardest decisions we've had to make while being married. Why you may ask? Ron got his replies from the schools, found out where all the assistantships (yes he is a wanted man to teach at multiple schools.... I told you he was smart) he was offered a few days later, and then we were given about 5 days to decide where to go. Seriously 5 days? We did it though, and we're excited. I'm not happy about moving someplace cold, but I'm super excited to get out of Rexburg and move on with our life.

Utah state has literally rolled out the red carpet for Ron and I. We met with the department head back in February. He introduced Ron to every teacher he would have while attending there. Showed him every research lab, and was asking him all sorts of questions on how to run a specific set of equipment that Ron uses just about everyday while teaching that they have. They responded to every e-mail within 5 minutes to an hour. Which is amazing compared to some other schools we looked into...UNLV which took 2 weeks to reply to one email of the 3 we sent.

USU has also offered him a teaching assistanship which will pay him about $850 every month. Which will be enough to cover rent and hopefully utilities. They also want him to do research for them. This could also be a paying job. Here is the big kicker. I couldn't believe it!!! They are giving him FREE TUITION IN THE FALL!!!! FREE TUITION!!! THATS AMAZING!!! We'll pay for books, and some student fees, but thats it.

I can honestly say I had an amazing feeling while we did tour the campus. I just felt like that was where we were going to go. Sometimes I just don't know if thats just me being excited for the change or if it is a legit feeling. It was legit apparently cause we both feel really good about it.

I'm also going to look into the Nutrition program for myself while there. I'll try and attend part time while Ron goes full time. We'll see though.

School starts August 29. We'll move at the beginning of August to get completely settled before Ron starts school. We are so excited that I just might put a count down up on our blog!!!! hahaha
