Miss Jackie's Baby Shower

I'm slowly starting to catch up with having a computer now and all, so I thought I might grace our little blog with this hot mama!

This is Jackie... Some of you know her, but most of you don't.

It's too bad cause she's basically one of my favorite people around. I've known her about two years now. Her and her hubby Colum have been some of our best friends up here since we moved. Its a rare find when you get two couples that both spouses get along great with the other. She's basically one of my best friends up here.

She also just happens to be having a baby!!! We're so excited for both Colum and Jackie! Baby Wride could grace us with his presence any day now! I cross my

fingers and hope its tomorrow! (and of course She does too.)

Well once she told me she was going to have a babe, I immedietly called the baby shower.

I love to give showers especially for Special People like Jackie. She has done so much for Ron and I. She has watched Hayden too many times to count and treats him as if he were her's, and of course she is always will for a good girl's day out.. Gotta love that right?

So this last Saturday I threw her a baby shower at my house to re-pay for her for everything she has done, and every girl just needs to be showered with presents.

I was a little nervous cause I've only done bridal showers before, but I actually had more fun with the baby shower!

So for your viewing pleasures here is a day where we celebrating we celebrated nothing but baby and motherhood!!!

Here is what I based the whole shower off of.

I did a black, white and green shower.

I know she's having a boy and green is considered neutral, but seriously there was no way that I was throwing her a winnie the pooh, Jungle theme (that's hayden not baby wride) or a little prince shower. Why? 1. I hate winnie the pooh things for babies I don't know why but I do. 2. Little prince seriously? pass 3. Like I said Hayden was the monkey.... Baby Wride is the pilot!

( I say this cause these are the themes of there rooms.)

They didn't have any airplane themes so this is what I went with.

Old Fashioned stroller theme.

Here is the enterance. I love that I got nearly (apart from the plates, cups and food) from the dollar store!!! Spring time is the perfect time to throw a green baby shower cause green is everywhere!!!

The green table clothe happens to be a receiving blanket that I found at the dollar tree and I thought it would really tie it all in! Plus its not useless afterwards. Its so soft and just perfect for snuggly new baby to fit inside.

I had each of the girls take a diaper and write advice on it for Jackie. I liked this idea better than a book because its more useful.

To bad the only tip she got was "get sleep while you can."

A good and true tip though

Just a splash of green to add to the other side of the room.

I served....

• Chocolate Cupcakes
• Vanilla Cupcakes with a kiwi on top
• Normal Oreos
• Golden oreos with white chocolate frosted and milk chocolate drizzled on top
• Strawberries
• Cantelope
• Pineapple
• Green Grapes
• Kiwi
• Sprite with Lemon
• and an array of Green Candies (trolli apple-o's, sour punch straws, caramel apple suckers, and Green mints)

Okay... Baby Wride the shower is done, your room is done, the car seat is in the car, and everything is prepped and ready to go including your awesome parents. Make your enterance already!!! You're mama is tired and eager for you to be here, your dad is pretty anxious with anticipating your birth, and I just want a small snuggly baby to cuddle again!! Plus Hayden already told you yesterday that he needs a friend!
