So funny story....
Every tuesday my co workers from the good ol' benson building and I got to Gandolfo's every tuesday for lunch (Mostly cause my friend megan has a crush on the manager and we know he works then). This last tuesday my friend Kira decided to ask if they were hiring just to check, and it turns out that they were hiring for morning shifts until two. I couldn't believe it! My schedule fit perfectly with it. I don't start class until five! So I mentioned it to the girl we were talking to, and she asked if I would like an application. I said yes, I filled it out and put on the weekly schedule that I could work "Mornings till two" I finished filling it out and just then the manager walked out and I handed him my application. He looked right at my hours and said "You can work mornings till two! Thats exactly what I need!" I told him yes and continued on to tell him about the classes I was going to take in the evening. He said that was perfect. So he walked away and about ten minutes later he came back and said "Maggie, I am just going to hire you right now if thats okay." I couldn't believe it! I am so excited! I start monday at 11. Working at a food place isn't my most ideal job, but it beats walking up at 3:30 am for the next year! Plus to me Gandolfo's seems like a more upper class food place then subway or something. I am also excited because a few weeks ago I turned down this awesome job because I kept getting the prompting not to take it. After talking to a home teacher who had the same job and said it was horrible, finding out that financial aide just started granted off track students money for school, realizing that the job would have gotten in the way of school in the winter, I would never see ron (really sundays would be the only day), and I wouldn't have been able to really fulfill my calling in church the way I should; I realize that the job I was offered wouldn't have worked well for me at all and that heavenly father has blessed me for listening to the spirit by giving me a job where I can fulfill my calling, do school, while still helping to provide for our little family. Life is amazing!
The end...

I heard about the job! Congrats. Hopefully, you'll get free food!
Sounds good -- I hope you still can come watch the kids over Labor Day -- I already paid for the hotel :)

Way to follow the spirit, Maggie. I am impressed with the way the Lord's way works. I am glad you blogged this moment. It will be remembered by you as well as others for years to come. Thanks for sharing your joys and job. I hope it works out well for you.
