I'M ENGAGED!

Yep thats right! I am engaged, and I couldn't happier! Ron surprised me on Saturday night by coming down and popping the big question! The little bum tricked me! He told me earlier that day he was planning on hanging out with his friend matt. When really he was driving down to provo the whole time! So here is the story. I was working at brick oven doing host running when I saw that my sister rachel had come in. She told me that they were painting the kitchen and that brandon wanted pizza so she came here to get some. We were swamped so I had to talk to her inbetween seating guests. She told me she wanted me to come over for dinner on sunday, and that it would be really good. Barbecue Ribs, corn on the cob, rolls, and a baked potato... yeah I was totally in. I don't get meals like that every day being a poor student and all...I asked her what the big occasion was and if someone was coming. She said she just felt like cooking a good meal. I wasn't going to complain... when really we did have a very SPECIAL guest! Well just before she left she told me sunday 2 o clock, and then she handed me a rose and a note. I looked at her and said what is this. I opened the note and it was from ron. I looked up at her and said thats not funny rachel! If this is your idea of some sick prank I am not laughing! She looked at me dead in the face and said I am not joking he really is here! I about flipped looked at the clock and then died...... sure enough 3.5 more hours till I got off work. THAT WAS TORTURE! The note told me to go home and freshen up if I wanted, and to dress warm. I text him and said ron if you are joking this isn't funny... i will cry. I was so excited to see him, but scared it was to good to be true. Oh no it wasn't! I went home and found 2 more roses on my doorstep. I ran inside changed out of my work clothes and text him and told him I was on my way. I got to the house and sure enough.... there he was just sitting in the living room with brandon. I couldn't believe it! He was talking to me the whole time that day and driving to provo! When REALLY he said he was going to take a nap! Well he mentioned something to rachel about checking the laundry so she went downstairs and "checked the laundry" Came back up and said its done fill free to do your own. I knew he was proposing I just didn't know how. He told me to dress warm so I didn't think anything of the laundry. I was just dying cause I really wanted him to do it! Well he started walking out of the room he looked back and asked me if I was coming. I told him of course and proceeded to grab his hand and go help him with laundry. We got downstairs and found the room was dark with candles lighting up the sitting area. There was a table with a dozen roses, to wine glasses with sparkling cider in them of course not wine, and the ring hidden behind the bottle.... yeah I saw it hahahahaha. We talked for a minute, and then he took me to the couch sat me down, and got down on his knees so we were eye to eye. He told me how he wanted nothing more then for me to be his wife, and that nothing would making him happier then if We were sealed in the temple. Then he kissed me and hugged me... I laughed and told him his heart was pounding, and asked if he was scared... He got up and got the ring. Told me that he loved me with all his heart and that he wanted to take care of me for the rest of my life, and then he opened the ring box...... and he said....

Maggie Will you marry me?????

then I said..... uh I will have to think about it! hahahah yeah right!
I told him I love you too! and YES!

Then he put the ring on my finger, and it was a perfect fit. He held me tight and then later asked me if I actually wanted to see my ring cause it was to dark to actually see the details. He turned on the light and I was in complete AW! It is so beautiful and the EXACT ring I've always wanted! He is the best guy I could have ever asked for! So he told me to dress warm cause originally the plan was to do it on a walk, but it was snowing pretty hard and way to cold. I am not complaining though what he did was really really cute.

So there is my story.... I am the future Mrs. Maggie Chantelle Cornwell Garner.... quite the long name... so of course Maggie Garner for short. I couldn't be happier! Keep January 31, 2009 open everyone cause I'M GETTING MARRIED!
