AHHHHHHHHHH! A Day off at Last!

Well Hello everyone! Its been a great weekend loaded with new adventures! Of course I'm going to think it was great cause i hadn't had a day off since august 17 quite the long time. Anyways This weekend we want to do something fun and random so friday we decided to go camping at baker lake! Yes it was grand, but didn't go quite as well as we had hoped. it started well..... SORTA we didn't end up leaving till around nine thirty that evening it was a great but a FREEZING drive up to baker. We were driving a friends Samauri, and if you know what that is you'll also know that there are no doors no roof nothing to keep this thin blooded southern utah girl from freezing to death! We finally got to our spot and decided to embark into the world of fine dining (camping style). So of course we made dutch oven potatoes. What we didn't realize till after we got the bacon and sausage into the oven was that there was a ton of sand in it! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm nothing says good food then adding a little crunch to your potatoes. Some how though I was just hungry enough to eat about half of my plate. So we are well fed and just chillin roasting marshmallows and talking when we decide hey its like two a.m. we should hit the sack. oh no not the right word..... at least sack would be soft somewhat cushioned and roomie at least enough room to turn over. nope kenzie jess and I squished into the bed of Josh's Tacoma and attempted to sleep the long night away. HA! what we didn't realize was that we didn't have enough bedding to cover us or to make the uneven bed of the truck more comfortable so you weren't being japped in the side. So we ended up cuddling and trying with all our might it keep the body temperatures up so we could sleep! HA! yet again I was on the end woke up freezing and realized jess and Kens stole my blanket! The thiefers! The bed was so small we all slept on our sides and woke up every time we attempted to rotate our bodies. Our long night ended at about six thirty in the morning when us girls woke up to cold to sleep. We then hopped inside the truck where the greatest invention of the world was placed. A heater and we stayed there for about an hour. It was a most excellent trip escpecially the ride home i'm sure i was a site i made a cloak tyoe cacoon out of my blanket covering entire body including my head. Later that Day we embarked on another adventure were we drove to lake mead to go spear fishing. Sad to say we saw three fish! nothing worth spearing! so we just went snorkling found a few fresh water clams and broke them open and just hung out and got sunburned on our faces and necks cause none of us were bright enough to were sunblock. can you say cancer anyone? We drove home and then realized we hadn't had a decent meal in over a day so we went to applebee's and ate. It was amazing! But by then nine o clock came around and I was exhausted went home and went straight to bed and didn't wake up till noon on sunday. I don't realize the lack of sleep i get until i finally can sleep. Oh it was wonderful! Sunday we attended the fireside got a few boy's numbers and went party hopping to people's apartments that we somewhat new. hahaha oh the life of college students its grand. Meg and I didn't get to bed until 2:30 am. Good thing next weekend is a ranch weekend. They make us go to bed there. ahaha
